This settlement resolves a long, hard-fought combined class action against a number of IKO companies who manufactured or sold certain organic asphalt roofing shingles primarily between 1978 and 2008. The plaintiffs claimed that the shingles were defective and tended to crack, curl, blister, fishmouth, claw, discolor, break, or otherwise not perform according to reasonable expectations. The settlement does not involve claim forms or a settlement fund but extends warranties on the shingles.
