Espar, Inc., Webasto Products North America, and other related companies are settling a class action alleging that they conspired to fix the price of parking heaters. The complaint alleged that the companies’ agreements were violations of antitrust laws and that they resulted in consumers paying higher prices for the heaters than they should have. (Parking heaters are heaters used in trucks, agricultural machines, and construction equipment that keep the vehicle warm even when the engine is not running.)

Eligibility: 

You may be eligible if 

  • You are a person or business (including a retailer) who bought a commercial vehicle that includes an Espar- or Webasto-brand parking heating, or you bought an Espar- or Webasto-brand parking heater indirectly, that is, from a party other than Espar or Webasto,
  • You bought the heater or the vehicle with the heater between October 1, 2007 and December 31, 2012,
  • You bought the heater or vehicle in the US.

You are not eligible if you bought the heater directly from Espar or Webasto. Those purchases are covered in separate settlements. For more information, see www.DirectParkingHeaterSettlement.com.
