AT&T has agreed to settle a class action alleging that it used an automatic dialing system and/or an artificial or pre-recorded voice to make unsolicited calls to cell promoting its U-Verse service. The complaint alleges that the calls were in fact not made to holders of U-Verse accounts or persons who had a prior business relationship with A&T or who had given consent to the calls.
