This lawsuit is brought by Shirley Johnson for the neglect and wrongful death of her sister, Evon Williams, at Courtyard Rehabilitation and Health Center, a nursing home, where Williams lived from approximately March 2007 until her death on March 14, 2013. The complaint alleges that Williams suffered various injuries from the negligent care at Courtyard, including yeast infections, urinary tract infections, PEG (direct-to-stomach feeding) tube errors, medication errors, and dehydration necessitating multiple trips to the hospital, all of which accelerated the deterioration of her health and finally led to her death.
