Hy-Vee Gas Station

Hy-Vee offers gas stations, restaurants, and what the complaint describes as “drive-through coffee shops.” Unfortunately, the company experienced a data breach this year, and the complaint for this class action alleges that the company failed to implement adequate security measures to protect customer information.

This complaint against another company that deals in opioids takes a different tack than most. The complaint claims that Anda, Inc., a distributor, through its careless handling of the drugs, has caused health insurance costs to go up.

Rice Field in Arkansas

This class action alleges that the herbicide Loyant not only doesn’t control grasses and weeds but damages rice crops as well. The complaint names the Dow Chemical Co., Dow AgroSciences, LLC, Corteva, Inc., and EI DuPont de Nemours and Co. as having responsibility for Loyant. The plaintiffs are a number of farms that used Loyant, in a number of different states.

Yellow Rock 'n Play Sleeper

Fisher-Price, Inc. makes a product called the Rock ’n Play Sleeper which purports to be appropriate for babies to sleep in for an extended period or even overnight. But the complaint for this class action alleges that babies left to sleep on it have been injured or died, and that the product is not in fact safe for its advertised purpose. It sues Fisher-Price and its parent company Mattel, Inc. for selling a product they knew or should have known was dangerous.

Southwest Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 8 in Flight

The relationship between Southwest Airlines Co. and the Boeing Company was special, according to the complaint for this class action. And when Boeing brought out the flawed 737 MAX 8, the complaint alleges, Southwest helped cover up the plane’s fatal deficiencies.

Imagine buying a new bed and finding it infested with bedbugs. The complaint for this class action alleges that that’s what happened to plaintiff Lekisha Nicholas when she ordered a bed from Wayfair.

The complaint for this class action outlines a very adult problem, however, alleging that some of Claire’s cosmetics have been found to contain asbestos.

It’s a little alarming to hear that a set of earplugs designed for combat situations actually amplifies noise when inserted in a certain position. The complaint for this class action claims that 3M Company, Inc.’s Combat Arms earplugs are defective and that 3M knew this when it applied for a contract with the US military.
