Defective Steering System
When a car’s steering mechanism fails, the results can include collisions, injury, and even death. This class action alleges that certain Hyundai Accent and Elantra cars have a faulty steering mechanism that made the steering wheel lock up and caused the plaintiffs to have accidents.
This is a settlement for a class action alleging that the electric power steering system in certain 2009 and 2010 Toyota Corollas (excluding the XRS grade) breaches warranties and violates various state consumer protection laws because it “can cause vehicles to wander or drift from center at highway speeds and/or suddenly veer to one direction during normal use.”
This lawsuit alleges that certain year models of the Ford focus and Ford Fusion have defective steering systems.
