Defective Automobile

2016 Kia Soul

What would you do if your car suddenly stalled on a highway or burst into flames? The complaint for this class action alleges that certain models of Hyundai and Kia vehicles with gasoline direct-injection (GDI) engines have serious defects that the companies have concealed. The defects allegedly cause the vehicles to stall while at speed or catch fire. The complaint alleges fraud by concealment and breaches of warranties, among other things.

Jeep 2018 JL Wrangler

Do you own a Jeep Wrangler? Does it sometimes begin to shake uncontrollably when you drive it at higher speeds? We’re investigating to see if a class action is needed.

BMW of North America, LLC is settling a class action regarding an alleged defect in the Comfort Access System in certain 2007 to 2013 BMW vehicles. The complaint claimed that the vehicles can be locked from outside the car when the key fob is inside the vehicle.

GM 2016 Silverado Truck

This is one of several recent class actions brought against General Motors for the use of Bosch’s CP4 fuel pumps in diesel vehicles. The complaint alleges that the CP4 cannot work properly with American diesel fuel, which does not provide enough lubrication. The result is eventual failures requiring the replacement of the fuel system.

Hog Wild Truck

This class action is about tires made by Kumho Tire USA, Inc. and installed on Hyundai trucks. The complaint claims that the Kumho and Hyundai knew about the problems yet refused to replace the tires.

2019 GMC Yukon SUV

Auto defects can be both costly and dangerous for consumers. The complaint for this class action alleges that certain recent General Motors (GM) vehicles have a transmission defect that is uncomfortable while it’s occurring and that over time degrades or ruins the transmission and other vehicle parts.

Toyota 2011 4Runner

The frame of the Toyota 4Runner is the vehicle’s main support structure, to which all other pieces are attached. In an accident, it’s a primary protection against injury. But the complaint for this class action claims that Toyota did not adequately treat 4Runner frames during manufacturing for model years 2005 to 2011, so that they are excessively susceptible to rust.

Porsche Panamera

A defect in the cooling system in certain Porsche vehicles can lead to sudden failure and complete loss of vehicle power, according to the complaint for this class action. This can be extremely dangerous, particularly if the car is traveling at high speeds on highways at the time. What makes it worse, the complaint claims, is that Porsche has known of this defect for more than ten years.

2016 Silverado Truck

This California class action is at least the third complaint filed against an automobile manufacturer concerning the Bosch CP4 diesel fuel pump. A long list of plaintiffs files this complaint against General Motors (GM), alleging that the fuel pump was a “ticking time bomb” that simply cannot operate properly with American diesel fuel standards, leading to abrupt and potentially dangerous shutoff of the vehicle’s engine.

2015 Jeep Cherokee

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles US, LLC is settling a class action concerning its model-year 2014 and 2015 Jeep Cherokee, 2015 Jeep Renegade, 2015 Chrysler 200, and 2015 ProMaster City vehicles.
