2017 Ford Escape

A number of recent class actions have challenged Ford’s fuel economy ratings, first for its 2019 Rangers, and then for its 2017-2019 F-150 trucks as well. This class action alleges that the fuel economy ratings for other models of Ford vehicles are inaccurate as well. The three plaintiffs in this suit lease, separately, a 2017 Ford Escape, a 2018 Ford Fusion SE, and a 2018 Ford Explorer XLT.

2019 Cadillac ATS

The complaint for this class action alleges that General Motors, LLC (GM) puts defective transmissions in some of its vehicles. The complaint claims that GM knew the transmissions were defective as far back as 2014, but that it has no way to fix them and simply denies that the vehicles have problems.

The Kolter Group, LLC is a real estate development company. According to the complaint for this class action, it solicits customers to buy its homes through telemarketing texts that violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).

The complaint for this class action alleges that M&T Bank charges mortgage borrowers illegal Pay-to-Pay fees when they make payments over the telephone. The complaint claims that these fees are illegal, both under federal and state laws. At issue are the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and California’s Rosenthal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (RFDCPA) and the terms of the mortgage contract.

2019 Ford F-150 Truck

The complaint for this class action is one of several filed recently that accuses the Ford Motor Company of fudging the figures it used in its fuel efficiency testing. The purpose, the complaint says, was to make it look as if Ford vehicles, including the Ranger and F-150, had greater fuel efficiency than they do.

Ford 2017 F-350 Truck

The complaint for this class action is a massive document of over 860 pages. It alleges that Ford knew it should not use Bosch’s CP4 fuel pump in its diesel vehicles, but did so anyway. What was wrong with the CP4? Because US diesel fuel differs from European, the fuel pump does not work as it’s intended and eventually causes engine damage.

The personal information of 7.7 million patients was exposed in a cyberattack on the American Medical Collection Agency, Inc. (AMCA) that occurred over an extended period of time—between August 2018 and March 2019. So says the complaint for this class action, which alleges that AMCA bears responsibility for not preventing the attack. It also named as a defendant Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings, which does business as LabCorp, and which had passed along the information to AMCA to begin with.

The complaint for this class action alleges that Fieldwork, Inc., which does business as National Recruiting Center, violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by sending consumers advertising faxes without their permission.
